Description for Triumph TR4 1962

1962 TR4STUNNING RESTORATION BY MACY'S GARAGE**PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION**
This is one of the finest Triumph TR4 examples you will see. Restored by Macy's Garage which, besides all cosmetics, included the motor, transmission, and mechanicals rebuilt. The paint is single stage Urethane and beautiful. The interior is red and black and is as good as it gets. The wire wheels are near perfect and the undercarriage is as would be expected for a restoration. Is this Triumph perfect in every way? No, and they were not perfect from the factory 60 years ago. But I will say, I have not seen a better example. There is absolutely no smoking, no hesitation. Silky smooth upshifting and down shifting. Car accelerates wonderfully and is an absolute joy to drive. There is no rust that I have seen on this Triumph TR4.
Restorations, at this standard, takes hundreds of man hours and parts refurbished to reach what you see. The buy it now is practically 1/2 of what it cost torestore a car like this.
I have a buy it now and a reserve at auction. You will know the reserve when it is met. If you feel the Buy it now is too high, feel free to place an offer, keep in mind if offer is accepted the buyer term listed below will be followed.
Full history from the time the car was restored until my ownership. 364 miles have been put onto this triumph since the restoration. Commissioned, by a Dentist (have copy of his title), to be restored by Macy's Garage until strict orders. The restoration was completed and stunning. The Dentist passed away and the widow sold the TR4. It was sold to a Dr. in Tucson Arizona and the Dr. then sent the car, cross country(have receipt of shipping), back to Macy's Garage to have it checked out because it sat in the Dentist garage for awhile undriven, due to the Dentist falling ill and not driving the car. Over $4000 additional was spent, at Macy's (have receipts) to make sure everything was up to snuff to Macy's high standards. The car was then shipped back to the Dr. in Tucson Arizona. The Dr. in Tucson stored the car in his massive garage, hethought the car should have run like a Mercedes... and kept it as a showpiece to his fellow Dr.'s. The Doctor decided to sell the car, the car had sat in his garage so just prior he took the TR4 to British Car Service in Tucson Arizona with explicit orders to check the vehicle front to back and fix anything they see. This is actually written on the servicereceipt. the Dr. spent over $4000 at British Car Service (have receipts) mostly making sure all seals were new, no leaks, no issues, prior to placing for sale. I then purchased this beautiful example and was very fortunate. A Macy's Garage restoration TR4 hardly ever come up for sale, not on their web page, nor in auctions. Only 2 known have surfaced for sale, this being one of them.

Why am I selling? I was diagnosed with Cervical Stenosis and Radiculopathy. I had surgery and am now unable to drive this beautiful Triumph TR4. 364 miles is the total miles, including the owners and shop test miles.
You will not find a better for sale. An example sold in 2022 Mecum Kissimmee auction for over $70k. Please keep in mind all cost involved to restore a Triumph TR4 to this condition. You can obviously buy a TR4 for less, but compare every condition of what you are buying to a restoration of this standard by Macy'c garage.
This TR4 is listed on the Macy's Garage website, gallery of restored Triumph TR4's.
I have many other pictures, the limit is 24 for the listing.
I will entertain bestreasonable offers and also retain the right to end the listing early as it will be advertised locally and on Face Book Group pages.

**We sold a beautiful Nova and the buyerexpected a completely restored Nova, we did not list it as restored at all, and told the buyer so. We asked the buyer to come see the car BEFORE he bought it... he said "no, I want it ... it's mine".... then he shows up 6 hours late to pickup, after paying and starts complaining. Leaves meunwarranted feedback. Please do not be this person, come see this RESTORED car first if you like BEFORE purchasing.
