Description for Triumph TR-6 1976
Up for auction is a nice driver quality 1976 Triumph TR-6 ( 4 speed / non-overdrive ). I will make every effort to detail everything about the car so all interested will be fully informed prior to bidding. Please take time to read the auction in it's entirety as much work and dollars have been spent. Heritage: All the numbers on the car our consistent with it be being a numbers matching car. The production date is Oct. 1975. nbsp;commission number is CF 50719 U. engine number is CF 47223 UE. nbsp; body tag #1 is T 35316 CF and body tag # 2 is 37315. To be 100% you would need to order your certificate from the Heritage Center at: http://www. heritage-motor-centre. co. uk/ and it takes about 30 days to get your certificate back from England. Mechanicals: The car has had much work done and dollars spent and she is ready for the open road. She runs and drives great. The car was just had major service / work completed last week. The service included new points. new spark plugs. new ignition wires. new distributor cap. new rotor button. valve adjustment. nbsp; oil change. new oil filter. new battery installed. nbsp;transmission fluid serviced. rear end fluid serviced and the radiator was serviced. As well the car had a complete engine rebuild about 3000 miles ago and a new radiator installed as well. The engine is tight with no know oil or fluid leads. She starts right up with no issues or smoke. The car shifts up / down through all the gears with no issues or noises. The rear end is strong and makes no noises and with reverse up an incline without popping out of gear. Electrical's: I have spent hours and dollars in going through this area: Headlights ( high & low beam ) work . wipers work. horn works. front & rear turn signals work. front & rear running lights work. brake lights work. nbsp;backup lights work. license plate lights work. interior courtesy light work . nbsp;dash gauge lights work. glove box light works. horn works. radio works. nbsp;hazard switch works and blower fan works. Gauges: All gauges are correct "Smith" gauges and are in working order. Interior: Is in overall good condition and I'll let the photos speak for its condition. Note: The dash front. glove box door. nbsp;glove box lock. glove box liner and the sun visors where all replaced this year. The carpet is in fair condition and the car does have Triumph logo rubber floor mats. Exterior: The car looks nice in the photos but I would still say the paint is of driver quality and will need to be paint at some point. The body and bumpers and all very straight. The car has a very nice chrome luggage rack. All glass is cloud and scratch free. The car sits evenly and squarely on the ground with no visible signs of leaning or the dreaded "TR-6 Squatting" issues. Soft Top: The soft top is serviceable bit should be replaced when you go to paint her ( has 2 perforations ). Trunk: The truck is rock solid. The car does comes with a spare wheel. original lug wrench and original jack. Tops & Covers: As Seen the car does come with a Tonneau cover and a top cover. Offers: Yes I'm open to offers as long as they are over the current bid price on the car. Note: I will only use e-Bays prescribed methods and procedures to end the auction early ( give me and the buyer protection during the transaction ). Overseas Bidders: Yes the auction is open to overseas bidders. The auction is open to overseas bidders and if you need to ship overseas try Schumacher Cargo Logistics shipping for fast free quotes ( http://www. schumachercargo. com/ ). I'm not an expert and my opinion of the car may vary from yours so please look at the photos closely and if you need more information or the extra photos I have available please ask prior to bidding. I know how hard it is to purchase a car online so please ask any and all questions you have prior to bidding or if you can come see and drive the car for yourself ( I really encourage you to do so ) as I want the winning bidder to be satisfied with the car when it arrives. Due to the cars age and having no way to warranty the car I'm selling her as is and mileage exempt. A $500 non-refundable deposit is due within 48 hours of auctions end.
