Description for Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1968
1968 VW Tin Top Camper is a blast to drive and enjoy. It has a rebuilt motor and trans. It is a single port 1700 cc motor and the trans has the upgraded ring and pinion allowing freeway speeds of 70 mph (faster downhill) All new brakes and suspension work done by DubFab. It is lowered 7.5 inches from stock but is still very drive-able but looks soooo much cooler. Daily driving is still easy as it clears speed bumps and driveway angles. The tires do not rub. It can go much lower but it is set at a very usable height. Great sound system makes cruising fun. The interior has been completely refurbished from the front to the back. I replaced all of the rear panels and refurbished the cabinet and headliner. Custom built the jump seat. New curtains from sewfine interior. New rubber floor mats up front and under seats. Custom wood floor in the back. Front seats have new foam and TMI navy seat covers. Rear jump seat and z bed are covered in light grey vinyl It has new rubber seals on front and rear window seals. It only needs a few things to be completed. Front Door and window rubber needs to be replaced along with the front door panels. They look good but it needs to be mentioned. The side Jalousie windows are in good shape. They do not leak and function properly. Side rear windows need new rubber. I have some of the door and window rubber that will go with bus. It also has a brand new 2 inch hitch installed. This is an Original Paint Patina Bus, t has dents and scratches but they are all very cool and I would not fix them but that is up to you. I did only a little bit of blending paint work and feel free to send me any questions as I canprovidemore info if needed...
