1967 was the first year for Karmann Ghia to have disc brakes, 2 Volt, onger axle base and many other details that are for 1967 alone. There is some parts that are unique to 1967 KG including the ignition,disc brakes, his car is 99% complete and for the price its a bargain. The restoration was started by someone else and as i checked through the pile of parts everything is in zip-lock baggies marked so it will be easier to asses the parts that are needed or to be put back together. This car can be restored or you can buy it for the parts alone. It does need welding,body work, nd paint. The engine compartment tray is really solid condition and wont need any rust repair or replacement of any metal or welding, hat is very rare. the seats were replaced so all the original seats are missing. No motor. The rockers and quarter panels have some rust at thelower,sections but it can be patched up and welded, nbsp;we are a restoration shop here if you want to restore it i can help you with welding,body work and paint.The bumpers are near mint condition but will need to be re chromed if you want them perfect.
I have a bill of sale with this car no pink slip and it was registered last in 1987,not in the DMV system any longer.
