This is a perfect commuter car! Not only does it get 45 MPG, t is also cheap to insure and smog exempt.
1981 VW Jetta Diesel Special Edition 2-door coupe. This model has a 1.6 IDI diesel engine and a sought after 5-speed manual transmission. I get around 45 - 51 mpg driving
around town and on highway.
It has a clean California title and pink slip on hand, urrent registration as well.
I have taken a good care and maintained it to excellent running condition.
Below are the rebuilds and upgrades:

• Upgraded suspension with adjustable coil-overs and 4 point lower stress suspension bar.
• Replaced head gasket, pdated with all new relays, ll new switches
• Replaced entire cooling system. AC and heater works. AC needs re-charge
• New carpet and radio, enwood speakers. Needs amplifier for sound system to work
  
• Braking system replaced. New brake booster, ew brake calipers/disk, hoes/ drums/pads. Master cylinder rebuild. New wheel bearings front and rear.
  
• Rebuilt injectors, ew glow plugs, e-sealed fuel pump, ebuilt starter and new battery less than a year.
  
• Upgraded glow plug wirings, ith fuses and solenoid.
  
• Original healthy engine, ransmission and clutch and are in excellent running condition.
• Has an HID 5000k projected headlights.
• It has a black VW snowflakes wheels 3mm front spacers and 8mm rear spacers with extended bolts.
  
• Small euro front bumper.
• All new belts are installed within this year.
• Transmission and engine oils where flushed last year with new oils.
  

Fixable issues:

• Horn not working. I will try to fix when i have the time.
• Needs a repaint.
• Sound system does not work due to amplifier was stolen.
  

All in all this is a great condition car for it's age. This car is also perfect for bio-diesel or veggie oil conversion or the car show route with upgraded engine or for someone wants to get great MPG commuter car this engine will last for a long time.
