1980 VW Puma Ventura restored

The year of manufacture is 1989 NOT 1980. Here we have a Brazilian hand built sportscar based on VW Beetle running gear. Limited numbers were imported into California in the 70s and 80s. They came in As a complete car less engine and transmission.This is a very rare odd bal, recently out of heated storage. It has a Virginia title stating that it is a 1989 Puma. Do your researc, this car is actually a Ventura but often the dealers back in the day sold them both under the same label. It has undergone an extensive restoration of the running gea, mechanically systems and paint some years back . The previous owner then put in storage. The car was originally green and can be seen on the Puma website.I have put about 10 miles on the car since purchased it a few months back. It run, drives and sounds just like a Bug should except it looks like a Ferrai .It needs a few minor fixes to make it road ready. Mechanically very good . It has twin webers K&N filters and a new battery, aint has a good Finnish, nterior is black velour . All the electrical items work, ires,trim and glass are all in good order.
Minor defects: needs a repair panel welding in the floor pan behind the passenger seat ( new patch panel comes with the car) Horn button is defective and needs to be replaced Bushing in top of steering column feels worn and may need to be replaced Drivers side rear brake cylinder is showing signs of leakage A few minor paint blemishes on the roof (very slight)That's it . The car is very driveable as is and all these issues are mino, and could be fixed in the space of a weekend by anyone handy.If you like air cooled VEE DUBS and want a cool ride you need to take a long look at this.

Previous owner spend thousands on restoratio, full repaint professionally done,engine was also rebuilt.Been a while since I did the eBay thing so was unable to go back and make corrections,looks like a Ferrari insures and maintains like a VW. If it makes a major difference in the bidding process I could do the repairs needed and get a Virginia inspection, hat would be up for negation .
