Description for Volkswagen Beetle - Classic 1966

You are bidding on a Vintage 1966 Volkswagen Beetle Sedan. I bought this with good intentions to restore it but things have come up and I must let it go. It is a good restoration candidate as it needs the common repairs of all restorations but is by NO means a total rust bucket and beyond repair. The body is in good shape but will need the heater channels and floor pans replaced as the previous owner only id some patch work to them. The fenders are all original and still very usable. The front hood and deck lid are fine. Spare tire area will need some work. The left front was bumped lightly once but will not be a hard fix. The car starts and runs very well as the previous owner replaced the original engine with a dual port engine. Car shifts well in all four gears and reverse. Only the emergency brake works as it will need a total brake over haul from sitting for a while. Tires are good and do hold air. Front axle beam is in good shape with NO rust issues. Glass is all good and comes with the rear quarter pop outs. Front windshield will probably be in need of replacement. All of the wiring will need some attention as the previous owner took most of the wires off in from and I wired just enough to make it run and start as I was not sure of the rest. Previous owner replaced original transmission with a 1968 swing axle tranny and also up dated the front wheels to four lug rims. The seats are all re done with but are a later model seat and not the original ones. Car comes with a CLEAN OHIO TITLE IN MY NAME!! I will not deliver the car as the winning bidder is responsible for pick-up of the vehicle or also the haul should bidder live faraway.
