Description for Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1976
This a beautiful 1976 Riviera Camper bus! It has a rebuilt 2.0L motor which runs great (3500mi)! Starts right up and drives excellent! Just drove the bus half way across the United States without an issue! The upholstery in the rear of the bus is brand new! The front seats are original and are in good shape with the passenger just having a couple small tears. They are still comfy on long road trips! The paint for the most part is the original blue from the VW factory, ith a couple of spots touched up on the rear corners. It is shiny and nice! The bus gets attention every where you go! The camper interior is the all original cabinetry that Riviera installed in the seventies! It is in great shape with just a few nicks and one of the roller cabinets doesn't like to close all the way. Has the original removable table and a removable cup holder on the dash! There's a built in water tank and an city water connection. The bus also has auxillary power for 110v power with two outlets! The two lights in the back work great! The full curtain set is brand new replica material of the original! Even the large divider curtain to the cab is new as are the snap holders to keep them open! They look lovely open or closed! The bus has no underbody or cancerous rust, ust a little light surface rust. It does have some chipping on the nose and a little on the panels, ut is usable as is for years to come! The pop-top functions fine and the original canvas is in great shape except the screen has a few rips. The ignition key doesn't quite turn it over anymore just from wear, t's all intact, o we pulled a ignition out of another bus that lets us start it fine with a screwdriver. (it sounds worse than it is, ou can put the back of the ignition right back in the original and see that the key doesn't quite turn it over. Nothing was ruined doing this, t's just a easy way to still start the bus) All of the windows are good with an excellent PPG windshield. I think the bus was garaged for many years as the dash and steering wheel are still nice and black and not faded like many buses! There's also a CD player installed with AUX jack and USB with two 6x9 speakers in boxes you can move around the bus- excellent for road trips!! All in all this is a great bus in original condition! It's ready to hit the road and tour the National Parks! Call with questions: 605-515-3237There is a video of the bus running at: youtu.be/RRiBlsQBkaM
