Here she is, he baddest bug you'll ever find. It's titled as a 1968 VW Bug, ut its so far from that its crazy.
Car was built by Aftermath Hotrods in Florida, ou can find build threads of his Volksrods all over the web. Its as Rat Rod as you can get. The body is ugly in a good way and give the car tons of character, nd gets it tons of attention. Its a hit at every show, nd I can't even take a drive tothe gas station without people taking pictures and talking to me about it.
Its a full tube chassis, he bug body is chopped 7 inches and stretched. If you ever decided you didn't want this body, t could be cut off and any other modified to fit.
Its a twin turbo forged 383 stroker with 9:1 compression. It was supplied as a crate motor by Tristar engines. It has an 1103 cam,procomp intake, elrin spacer, emonblow thru 750cm carb with 90 front/93 rear jets and 2.5 power valve. Fresh 700R4 w/ overdrive, all Lokar shifter (badass), 0 bolt rear end, ustang II rack, ew electric fuel pump, ew radiator, ew fans, ew starter, ew battery, ll new gauges (Tach, olts, oost, ideband, ater temp, il pressure) new Nextech LED headlights, ew brakes, nd brake booster. Custom air ride system with 4 link rear, iar compressor and tank, ar lays frame. Right now its controlled by a shop air setup, ut I havea Little Larrys manual FBSS valve block thats included.
Interior is modified bug dash, ustom reversed removable steering wheel, nd Ulysses Seat Co. Bomber seats (really completes the rat look) with 5point harnesses.
Over all, he car is awesome. Its fast as hell, ut it needs to be fine tuned, t runs really rich at my elevation. I'm 6 feet tall and I fit comfortably, ut with the brake booster placement I have to drive two footed. I was going to get Wilwood remote mounted reservoirs, ut never got around to it as it doesn't bug me to drivethis way. The manual valve block and airgauges are includedthey just need to be installed.
