1971 Volkswagon Van Bus Vanagon NOT MUCH RUST NEW PICS

Description for Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1971

I do not have the title to this vehicle but Ican giveyou a bill of sale. It was purchased at a storage sale. It has been sitting in indoor storage for 13 years. I will be moving it outdoorsby end of sale. Here is what I can tell you about it.

Front bumper has worn andchipped paint, little bent and light surface rust.

Headlamps look good.

Rust holes around bottom of windshield.

Wipers are there.

Small ding on windshield.

Bottom driver door light surface rust.

Driver side fender bottom has light surface rust.

Driver door jam looks good.

Minor dings on driver side body.

Driver door window and cozy good.

Driver side middle rocker panel looks good.

Driver side glass good except for cozy with broken pin.

No rust around driver side windows.

Driver mirror ok.

Passengerdoor window and cozygood.

Passenger mirror glass broken.

Passenger bottom of fender good.

Passenger door bottom light surface rust.

Passenger door jam looks good.

Passenger rocker panel and bottom of sliding door good.

Passenger side windows good except for a cozy with broken pin.

Door locks work (driver door wont close because mechanism needs to be reset).

Sliding door moves smoothly and is tight.

Passenger and driver door hinges are tight.

Some of the things I refer to as surface rust may actually be dryer out rubber seals.

There are 4 tires and the van rolls when clutch is pushed in.

Rear bumper has dents and rust through.

Bottom of rear good.

Tail and backup lights good.

Rear marker lights missing.

No rust around hatch door or enclosure.

No rust around engine door or enclosure.

Back glass good.

All hatch and engine door hinges are good.

Rear deck floor looks good.

All seals are dry rotted.

Roof and gutters look good except for a few small surface rust spots.

Seats are in bad shape.

Headliner has tears.

Door and interiorpanels are there but need redone.

Middle floor has some rust through but is mostly stable and I felt safe standing on it at 270lbs.

Front floor panels arestable except for a hole on passenger side.

Dash has a crack by passenger handle other than that good.

Dash has red and blue switches. I see some on ebay with only red switches. ???????

Has AM/FM radio but missingone knob.

Have ignition key.

No door key.

Frame looks ok to me.

The worst rust on this van is the rust around the bottom of the windshield and thepassenger side rear quarter.

The worst dent on this van is the driver side rearquarter.

Mileage may or may not be correct.

The vehicle may or may not run. About 50% of the carsI have bought from storage did run.

The motor turns over manually.

Shifter moves in and out of gears.

I don't know much about the drivetrain.

This would be a goodvan to restore because it does not have a lot of rust throughon the body.

I have done my best to describe this van. I am not a body man or mechanic. What I say may or may not be spot on.Van is soldas-is with no guarantees or warrantees.
