Description for Volkswagen Rabbit 1980

Up for sale is my award winning, eautiful 1980 VW Rabbit L in beige. This car has spent most of its life in the Pacific North West (PNW) where they do not salt the roads. This is one fine example of a truly clean west coast car.
I am the second owner of this car.
New battery, pdated Pertronix ignitor, ew short shift, lutch cable, use box, W Motorsport oil pan guard along with all hoses and belts replaced.
Coolant and oil changed in the last 150 miles. Custom narrowed rear beam powdercoated black with all new bushings. Professionally smoothed fenders, assenger and driver's side frame rails notched. Glass out full restoration with replicated original decals. Completely redone fully straightened frame rails. Bumpers were removed along with all metal trim and are mirror polished. Australian internally mounted horizontal window blinds finish out the rear of the car.
The car still retains the original interior, teering wheel, 00% crackless dash, onsole, M/FM radio and gauges.
This is one classic Volkswagen that turns heads and is ready to be personalized to the buyer's specifications.
All body and paint work was performed by R. Miller Autobody in Palmyra PA.

Car currently sits on brand new eBay coilovers and brand new 15x6 ET41 steelies on 165/45/15 tires.
(H&R suspension and TK Motorsport camber plates along with 15x8 Compomotives are for sale separately.)
Of note the rear passenger and driver's side fenders have small amounts of paint burn due to tire rub.
Please note that this car is 35 years old. Issues however minor are there. In the spirit of full disclosure here is a list of items that I noticed when I purchased the car:
-drivers side wing vent window glue has come off
-rear defroster lines came off of rear window
-radio works - volume goes up and down independent of volume controls. I dont use the radio so its a non-issue for me
-cluster lights for brake and oil light are always on. I have noticed this since I had a NOS fuse box swapped in
-horn cuts in and out when the horn is depressed. This just noticed today when I tested it.

Since installing the new coilovers, took the car to a shop and had the following items done:
-alignment
-replace right rear brake drum (one of the lug bolt holes was stripped)
-repack bearings and seals
-replace brake shoes
-replace wheel cylinders.
-brake fluid replaced
I am happy to help out with arranging for a time for the buyer to pick the car up and in arranging shipping if the buyer is out of the area.
International bidders are welcome as well.
Buyer is responsible for paying for shipping.
Any questions, lease do not hesitate to ask!
Thanks!
