This is a really nice vintage Dasher. It is also known as a Passat in other markets. The chassis designation is B1, he same as the Audi Fox. I have had it for several years. I have it tagged, nd insured, nd it has been a reliable driver.
It is a rare Champagne Edition, hich featured special metallic paint, and cloth interior. It is a very nice upgrade, s I have had a few Dashers. This car has a strong running, actory remanufactured gas, uel injected engine, nd an excellent pulling and shifting transmission. The car drives very nice, uch nicer than any vintage VW I've ever driven (and I've had a lot). It has a crank open sunroof which operates correctly. Front windows and vent windows work well. It is a/c equipped. I did charge it once, ut it leaked out at the charge fittings. I do get a few quirks out of it, ut they are very minimal. There are a lot of parts that I have replaced, nd many details to relay, ut I can elaborate on them in conversation.
The body has no structural rust, r floor pan rust. It needs paint terribly. There is surface rust that has formed around quarter window trim and upward facing panels. Nothing that is serious yet. The car will need paint to preserve it, r at least clearcoat to inhibit further advance. Carpet, oor panels, eadliner are all very good originals for their age. I've seen none better.
Overall, cheap, lassic and rare VW to own and show. It's ready to drive home.
The few quirks I can think of offhand are: The blower motor sticks sometimes when it's not been used in a while, he H4 headlights sometimes need the connectors cleaned when it's not been driven in a while. I've replaced the intake boot with a VW Fox one. It works, ut it be nice to find an NOS one. Sometimes I get a little tire scrub on the rear going around corners. Very minor, ut I'll mention that. Maybe new rear shocks would help. I added a tach to the cluster. It worked, ut stopped suddenly. I have the original clock. Odometer does NOT work, listed what it last read because eBay requires a reading. It will not be correct. Very minor stuff.

The brochure in the pics I do not have, t was copied off of the internet for reference purposes. The last three pictures of the car are from 2013 when the paint was better. The SoWo pic was retouched by the photo booth. It gives an idea what the car would look like with new paint. The roof rails in the 2013 pics DO NOT come with the car.
Sold with a State of Georgia Bill of Sale. NO TITLE. EBay REQUIRED me to click one of thier title options. It has no title, ut does have valid and clear registration. Georgia does not issue titles for 1985 and older cars. The registration is current and in my name. That and a Bill of Sale is all you need to register and obtain title in TN where I work, ther states may vary. Check with your DMV if this concerns you.
