Original paint, ost of original interior, volt, 600cc motor
Clean, omplete, xcellent running/driving original California bus
130K miles, riginal transmission, otor is not original to bus, ut period correct and runs great.
New Firestone bias ply tires on original 14" wheels
6 volt electrics, verything works, ncluding the AM radio. Also has 12v power inverter for modern stereo, nd any other small devices.
Bus has been driven on many long trips and never any problems. Strong, mooth, eliable.
Interior:
-Original salt n pepper panels, ront seat covers not original, ear seat not original, ncludes original middle seat which needs some sewing work. Headliner is missing unfortunately. Dash is extremely clean with no modifications. Includes shifter lock which I added when I bought the bus. Ashtray behind drivers seat is missing in pics, ut I have it. Original rubber mats.
Exterior:
Clean original paint with nice shine, ut not buffed out. Rear portion of bus received a repaint in what I believe to be the beginning of the bus' life due damage to the deck lid and apron. Damage was very minimal and hardly any signs from the inside. The paint blend is great and hardly visible. It is from just in front of drivers side rear vent to passenger side rear cargo door. The remainder of bus is all original paint and extremely nice in my opinion. There is a small section on nose, ust below emblem, hat is painted white over a tiny dent....hardly seen. 2 small rust spots...one just behind drivers front wheel, nd other is on rear floor where the door latches lock....not serious and I never felt the need to repair. I repaired some rust around skylight windows and primed around edges. Sunroof works perfect and canvas is in excellent condition. Undercarriage is clean and dry. Belly pans nice and dry. Inside of wheel wells front and rear are clean.
Engine:
1600cc motor, ot original to bus, ut very clean period correct example. Rebuilt with nice German parts by the previous owner. I've owned the bus for 17 years now, nd it's never let me down once.
6 volt electrics, ith a 6 volt Optima battery. Heater boxes hooked up and work great.
*All original glass except windshields
*Includes rear seat bar brackets, ut bar is missing
*Middle seat is original material, ut needs some sewing work. Floor brackets included.
*Locking steering column included, ut not hooked up.
Bus was originally delivered to San Francisco and spent majority of it's life in Berkeley. I don't know much more of the history unfortunately. I've owned it for 17 years now, nd have taken great care of it. It's a very clean, ery original, ery dry, alifornia bus that runs and drives great. I have lots of pics and will send upon request.
