Description for Volkswagen Beetle - Classic 1966
Up for sale is our 1966 VW Beetle located in Lexington, Y. It has a clean and clear title (KY). The car is being listed for sale with a low, eal world reserve. This vehicle is also for sale locally and we (the seller) reserve the right to end this auction early due to local sale. Please be sure to check out the video noted in this listing below. We will describe each area of the car to the best of our ability. This is a nice, olid example of an unmolested bumper guard Beetle. It runs and drives amazing and would be great for the new owner to restore, ot rod, olksrod, at rod or drive the cool little car as is.MOTOR: Great running stock rebuilt motor. 1600 CC with added-on oil cooler. It starts right up and doesn't smoke one bit or make any odd noises. No leaks, o issues. Upgraded to 12V system.
TRANS-AXLE: Recent clutch, orks great. Transmission shifts smooth. Seems like it could use rear shocks as it sits a little lower in the back.
SUSPENSION: Sandblasted and repainted wheels. Brand new tires. Great brakes. Rebuilt front axle.
INTERIOR: Headliner/visors in good shape but dirty. Seats have a few separations at seams but springs aren't broken down, tc. All glass is perfect and carries the manufacturer's original markings. Original steering wheel is in excellent condition. Door panels are present and in good shape but need to be "retucked" on one corner each. Original radio is present in uncut dash but it doesn't work. Speedometer, eadlights, ipers and dash lights work great. Original VW key.
BODY: Great patina on what I believe to be the original adobe beige paint. Solid pan, irewalls, runk well, oor jambs, ender lips, ood and trunk and roof gutters. Bumpers could stand to be re-chromed. Only rust issue on the body is a section of the driver's side lower quarter panel between the door and fender, bout 3 inches tall. Passenger side quarter is great. The doors shut like new. Windows go all the way up and down great. For an unrestored Beetle, his is one of the most solid I've seen.
Though it may need a little work to be perfect, his neat attention grabber is fully road ready, echanically sound and a really solid, un to drive little car. Serious bidders please feel free to call or text any questions to 859-four-9-two-six-0-2-seven.
