1982 Vanagon Diesel Bus 1.6 NA Volkswagen VW

I purchased this lovely Portland, R imported Vanagon last fall on a whim of needing to having a fun winter project. The van then made it to Pennsylvania in 97' with 48K miles on it. Then in 2009 it had 81K miles on it in New York. I bartered with a dealer in Michigan for it last year and long story short my wife and I got pregnant again and the project remains. The body is rust free and the interior is very clean with nothing missing, ll parts are there minus the middle seats. It came also with the original blue base to the driver's seat so that is also in the deal. The blue was painted to match the navy blue original two tone and it was professionally done. The van has 98K original miles with the original 1.6 NA diesel engine. The bad news is that I haven't gotten around to digging into the engine much to get a good diagnosis on why it won't run; however I have another 82 diesel vanagon strong 1.6 NA motor that has only 90K original miles on it that is ready to drop in. My two other 82 vanagon diesels get about 25-27 mpg and one of them runs on veggie oil as well so this blue beauty has great potential for travel for anyone destined for long road trips. If you are also interested and would like to have a 1.9 tdi or aaz put in. I am a vw diesel mechanic and can have that replacing the original engine for an extra price as well.
