1987 VW Scirocco

Description for Volkswagen Scirocco 1987

For sale is a 1987 VW Scirocco. I am the second owner and have owned it since 1993. The vehicle is in excellent running and physical condition. No rust. Tires have less than 500 miles on them. The car is stock except for the following items: New suspension was installed ~5 years ago with sport springs and bilstein struts (front), rear suspension has sachs struts. I also changed the exhaust to an auto tech system. The car was re-painted about 5 years ago with color match original red.A/C works. Oil changed religiously with Mobil 1 since I've owned it.Any parts Ive replace have been either factory or as close to factory as I could get (bosch, brembo, VDO, ect...)
Things I consider detracting:
There are two small dings on the driver door that my kids did opening up our other car's door. Both can be easily pushed out. They are very small and pictures may not show them. (bothers me though).The dash is a dash cover but looks pretty good overall.The cruise control currently is not working but should with a little effort.I replaced the speedometer with another when my odometer failed (and the clock) The speedo works fine, the odometer works occasionally and clock needs to be replaced (there is an e-bay lister that has replacements). I estimate the car has between 105K and 115K miles on it now. (eBay forced me to put in a milage so I'm estimating the higher of the two...)The sunroof tilts up but won't slide open without scratching the paint. I never got time to final adjust it, it should work with patience of getting it set up properly.
The car will include a box of parts with original that came off the car and spares I have acquired over the years. This includes the original exhaust manifold, side trim and tail lenses and a bunch of other stuff.Also has the original owners manual and valet key..The car has seen less than 500 miles in four years and I am selling the car partly for this reason. I'd like it to go to someone that would take as much care as I have so it will be around for many years to come...
