Both Rabbits have fuel injected gasoline engines with 5 speed manual transmissions.

I bought the 1981 in NC in 2006 and have kept it stored inside. The body is almost rust free and the floor pans look like new. (see photos) The interior is worn and the previous owner cut holes in the door panels for speakers. Convertible top is in good shape, but has some discoloration from it's time in NC. There is some minor fender/bumper damage to left from corner. The engine does not run, but turns over. 129,000 miles.

I bought the 1979 new. It has experienced 4 teenage drivers and weathered a tornado, so it should only be considered for parts. I have kept it over the years because the engine and transmission were well maintained and were ingood working condition when taken out of service. The engine is not running, but is complete and turns over with a battery. 153,000 miles.
Both vehicles have clear titles in my name. Selling because I have too may projects and getting too old to finish them.
