Description for Volkswagen Golf 1987

I started this build in 2001 with a bone stock Tornado Red GTI 16v that I found in Jersey. Its seen many variations over the years, but here's how it sits now. It hasn't really been driven much in the last 5 years or so other than the occasional GTG or car show. I love this car but I don't have the time and space for it any more. It needs to go to a new and loving home.

I have no idea how many miles are on the car b/c the odo is broken, but I'd venture to say it's only about 4,000 miles since everything was built back in 2001-2004. The car isn't a show winner... it’s not perfect, but its clean, it’s straight, and it’s fast. A good combination of show and go. I wouldn't recommend it for a daily driver because its bare bones, rough, and tough... but in the last 6 years I have had ZERO problems outside of a pesky exhaust bolt and some seals leaking from it sitting a lot. Granted I don’t drive it much, but it always starts and always runs strong. Runs on 93 octane pump gas, and 91 at altitude. There's a lot more into this car than what the list shows... I just can't get it all down.

Anything that's listed as "Custom" or "Handmade" was made by ME. The exhaust, the intake, the turbo piping... it's all one of a kind and very high quality Stainless Steel and TIG work.

The car is in Atlanta. Comes with 2 sets of wheels. Oettenger Type-E's and Rota Grids. Both with rubber.

One thing to note... this car is running on an Electromotive TEC-II standalone. The ECM is solid as a rock, however from sitting so much it's developed an occasional stutter under acceleration. You can kind of hear it a little in the video. That being said, you'll either have to drive the car as is or have it retuned. I considered retuning it before I sold it but I don't have the time. Plus it'll make the car more expensive. Comes with 02A shift box and linkages.

LMK if you have any questions. Here's a crappy little video of the car in motion:https://youtu.be/cq24SlomIc0

Things the car needs:
· Couple small garage dings that are PDR’able

· Euro bumpers need to be shimmed. You can kinda see it in some of the pics.
· Driver's side Recaro seat has a gansta lean issue. Needs bushings I think
· Chinese MKIII style door handles suck, but they work
· I'd like to get rid of the Ricer A-Pillar, but I don't have a replacement OEM one...
· Zender wing got ripped off in an unfortunate smelting accident. I have a replacement but it needs a little work before it can be installed.
