Description for Volkswagen Rabbit 1981
I am a very motivated seller... Make me an offer... worst i can do is say no. I have over $10,000 into this truck and it is my pride and joy, but unfortunately I am moving and won't have space for it.This is a great little Diesel pickup truck with 87,897 original miles on it ( plus I will drive it until it's sold). It gets about 40-50 miles to the gallon depending on how you drive it. With diesel at $2.75 a gallon right now it's pretty cheap to run it. This truck is in great running condition. I use it every once in a while to run to the grocery store and occasionally for the hour drive to Gorman to take my dirt bike out. The truck is a manual 5 speed. I had a paint job done on it about a year and a half ago or so, so it still looks very nice. Just had the interior redone to match the original about 5 months ago. I am the 3rd owner of this truck and I've taken very good care of it. Oil changes on a regular basis even if I don't put too many miles on it. I just had the radiator flushed last month. When I originally bought the truck about 6 years ago I had Bela's foreign car repair rebuild the top and bottom end of the motor. They installed a new fuel pump, and fuel filter. The clutch was replaced about 2 years ago. The rear bar on the rack is removable to load the bed with taller items. If you have any questions or want to come take it out for a test drive feel free to contact me.
Cons- interior dash lights don't work
Gas gauge doesn't work (I reset the mileage and fill up every 350-400 miles)
CV boots torn ( about $250 parts and labor to replace both front axles which include the CV boots)
I have a lot more pics if needed but I'd rather you come take a look.
The truck is located near the intersection of the 2 and the 134 freeways in Glendale, CA 91206
I have the Title (pink slip) in hand.
Thanks for looking
