Description for Volkswagen Beetle - Classic 1977
This rare classic was found storage in a barn in Colorado and purchase by my cousin from the original owner for $13000 in 2004. The fuel tank and electronic fuel pump had to be changed, 19 year old fuel drained from system, and brand new looking 19 year old tires pealed inside of the first 200 miles so they had to be changed. Other than that, she ran like new. Within a year, all the hoses and belts were changed out with the exception of the ac belt which was not replaced because it wasn't working and honestly was just in the way. (way easier to change fan belt when compressor belt is not there) Car has been driven from CA to TX to FL to NY to TX to FL so believe me when I say that she runs and runs well. She sat in my aunts back lot for a year under a tarp when I brought it from him for $8000. This is where she acquired the surface rust. I trailered it to the storage unit where she has been for the last 3 years. (dent in left rear fender was acquired as she was rolling out of the enclosed trailer, fender got caught on trailer door's cable) She has never been in an accident but by the pics, you can see where some kid tried to steal her from my aunts back yard and broke the plastic steering collar & inside AC air chamber. Ignition was changed, collar not replaced. Tires are in great condition and she will come with 3 brand new unmounted spare tires. I was planning to change out all the fuel lines and vacuum hoses again and she needs a new battery to get her running perfect. This was completed at Fisher buggies before I brought her up but last year I found out that the didn't use the bradded fuel lines and this can cause a phenomenon known as vapor lock when she gets extremely hot. You think they would know, right? Anyway, Interior is is good condition. A few nicks on the seat but overall good condition. Floor and mats are good.Transportation is the purchasers responsibility. However if you live in FL, GA, or SC, I will deliver it to you for $350 to be paid through paypal. Car is located in a Storage unit outside of Anderson SC.$1000 Deposit due immediately.Full payment due within 72hrs of winning bid. Good luckCertified funds must clear before delivery occurs.
