1962 Yellow Volkswagen Rag Top Baja Beetle Bug (was street Legal in Florida at the time) turned a lotof peoples / cops heads as you can imagine !!

Originally built, by me "BEAR", as "THE ULTIMATEBAJA BUG" in the 1980s and then rebuilt again in 1985/ 86 with the best of everything!

I'm sure many people have seen this Bug at car shows ( LOTS AND LOTS OF 1ST PLACE TROPHY'S) and cruzing the Ft. Lauderdale strip, Daytona Beach back in the days 80's and 90's! THAT WAS ONE HECK OF A WILD TIME, MET LOTS OF GREAT PEOPLE !

THIS BAJA IS SURLY ONE OF THE WIDEST AND TALLEST ONES OUT THERE ! See specs below.

There are a lot of custom fabricated parts on this Baja, super heavy duty roll cage made for 3" lift kit and tall people, custom rear A arms with 930 C/V set up, HD bus 4 speed tranny, long travel front end and many many more mods, back in the 80's and 90's this was my get away driver, so it did see many miles of use both on and off road.

NEVER WRECKED, FLIPPED OR ROLLED OVER, BUT I DID RUN IT!!

This vehicle has been sitting OUTSIDE for over 13 years, so many parts needs to be replaced, rebuilt, or some form of attention. This BAJA bug does NOT drive, and needs a COMPLETE rebuilding and restoration if your intention is to drive it. YOU COULD REMOVE ALL THE GLASS, CARPET AND GET IT REBUILT AND HAVE ONE HELL OF AN OFF ROAD BAJA, OR REMOVE THE CUSTOM FRONT AND REAR SUSPENSION AND BUILD YOURSELF AN AWESOME SAND RAIL !

1971/73 floor pan is rusted, the rag top is missing its’ canvas, the 1962 Bug Body is rusted, including both driver and passenger doors, and the tires need to be replaced as well as few other things.

Despite its downfalls, this is still a great vehicle, and has many positive aspects.
