This is an unmolested, all original 1973 Volkswagen Transporter Bus. It is fun to drive, and always brings smiles and starts nostalgic conversations. We bought it from a great guy out of Arizona. Vehicle has an Arizona title and shows that it was first registered there 12/1973. It's main selling point was that it only had some surface rust. No rust in the battery tray area. A lot of these classics have invasive rust. We have a couple of VW buses and we love them, but are simplifying our lives and downsizing, so we are selling this one.
The pictures are as is, no prepping or makeup. If you love patina, this one has it. If you are looking for a new paint job, this is a perfect starting point as there are no layers of paint to go through. No body filler, no surprises. Vehicle was originally under coated. Some of that is flaking off revealing shinny paint.
It has factory power front disc brakes, spare tire, original tire cover and jack.. All doors open easily and close tightly. It drives, handles and runs true, with no wobbles or play in the steering. It has the original AM/FM radio. All glass is good, no delamination. It has a new front windshield gasket. The tires are like new. We have had it in storage. It started up and we drove it home. As it has been in storage, I have it on my schedule to clean the carburetor, check for tune up, etc...
