1982 VW Vanagon, Westfalia "Weekender"
ENGINE; 2001 Golf TDI European AHF engine code (same as ALH but big 12mm pump & big VNT17 turbo, big injectors,) stage 1 tune.
TRANS; manual 4spd. New hardened, taller 3rd and 4th gears.
- Big sunroof cranks open, folding bed rear seat and some cabinets, This van hauls A$$! gets 20 psi. 40/mpg, Does 85 smoothly! From California, so, paint is excellent, kept in the garage.
Ready to GO!! Been driven coast-to-coast like 5 times!
NEEDS:
1) Wheel cylinder is leaking in the rear driver side, I have the brake kit including new drums, hard lines and soft lines. Just have not installed it yet. It stops fine just a few drip dripp.... but I would not drive it over the rocky mountains or anything before replacing the wheel cylinder...Has been converted to DOT5.
2) Reverse light switch, I have got the new switch and it screws into the transaxle, just needs to be installed.
