Description for Volkswagen Karmann Ghia 1969
| I have owned more than 30 Karmann Ghias over the last forty years. I know them well. I am clearing out my stash of restorable convertables. Most of these I brought up from down south or from out of the area. I am selling these as a group of five Ghias. If you know the current market value of restored Karmann Ghia convertables, they sell for over $40,000. So, here is your chance to buy FOUR restorable convertables......make your money back after selling just ONE !! Additionally, the most desireable Karmann Ghia convertable, IMO, is the 1969, with the drop down rear glass window. That was a mid-year feature. So, you need to find a 1969 1/2 Karmann Ghia in order to have both the drop down glass rear window AND the original, desireable small tail ligjts and early style bumpers. These are VERY, VERY hard to find. There are TWO of these 1969 1/2 Karmann Ghia convertables offered here !!!! Oh yeah....someone reminded me to also say that the 1969 is also desireable because it is the first year with the IRS Independent Rear Suspension for all the Ghias (the '68 automatics also had it.) In addition to the two 1969 1/2 Ghias, there is also a 1968 convertable and a 1970 convertable. The fifth car is a 1973 blue hardtop is fairly good condition. It was last on the road a few years ago and starts and runs. Needs brake work, a partial driver side floor patch (included) and some other minor work. All the cars have transmissions and engines included. The black 1969 alao starts and runs. All tops in varying conditions, frames, glass windows are included. The red 1968 has a minor rare quarter dent but a good rear quarter from another 1968 is included to replace the section. I think all glass is intact. Only the white 1970 is missing any interior gauges/wiring. All the others are pretty intact and complete. Ignore listed mileage...EBAY makes you enter something. I just have too many projects and need to pass some on. I have clear Titles to some, other are Bill of Sale or I can apply for Titles if you need them. NY State is a non-Title State for vehicles pre-1972. I WILL export vehicles to interested foreign buyers. All cars roll, steer and tires hold air to load on a trailer to transport. All engines turn or start if in car. One engine is partially dismantled and, I believe, from a 914 Porsche, although I am no expert. This is a great set of project Ghias to make money with. I have a local guy with a five-car carrier who I have used to ship cars in the past. He is reliable and cheaper than most and honest. Will be happy to refer the buyer to him if you need a shipper. I am also happy to assist loading, etc. l
