Description for Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1972
1972 (1971 German Manufactured) Camper VW Bus. Dual Carburetor Setup with aftermarket carbs. This vehicle is about an 85% restore. I have been working on it for the last 2 years and am looking to place her in her forever home! She has 21502 on the odometer. We have always assumed a single roll-over of the odometer as it was kept in a garage for the past 10 years of so. What has recently been repaired/upgraded.: -Complete re-tune of the engine. All cylinders checked for compression. Spark plug and oil change. -New Exterior paint to match original Sunrise Yellow color of the bus. Interior is original paint. -Aftermarket carbs. -New interior door panels and carpeting throughout. -Suspension leveling and performed by Johnathan Rall Integrity Auto to stock specifications. This guy is the best mechanic of VW Buses in CO. New CV Axles and all four shocks installed by Les Schwab. Essentially a brand new suspension. -Refinished camper top. Camper tent has a small tear but we have flip out elevated cot included with bus. -All new camper weather seal, new tail lights, new reflectors. and customer hub caps. -New engine seal, new back hatch seal. -Brand new battery -Custom interior with white faux leather back seats. Fold up table with VW emblem, and small fold out shelf. -Speaker system with CD/Bluetooth -Brand new exhaust system. -Has the original Wolfsburg shifter -Custom made curtains that we just finished. -Repair manuals included as well. What still needs to be done: -The is one rust spot on the passenger side front seat where the seat belt mount is. Welding a small plate with a threaded area would repair the area 100%. I have purposefully not adhered the upholstery to leave open for repair. -Fuel gauge used to work but doesn't anymore. I think a wire became dislodged when I repaired the turn signals. -There is a small oil leak from the drain plug. I am sure a crush washer would repair the leak, I just haven't gotten around to it. -Exterior outlet is not tied to electrical system of bus. That would need to be re-established to make it functional. This bus is in great shape and has the ability to be a show car with just a little bit of attention. Vehicle is located in Bend, OR. Immediate $500 deposit required at end of auction. Buyer responsible for performing any mechanical checks along with transport. Bus is being sold "as-is."
