Is the breast cancer cause near and dear to your heart? Every one of us knows a mother, sister, aunt, friend, or daughter that has been touched by this terrible disease.
I bought this car and restored it after I lost my own mother in her long fight against breast cancer.
This car was done a tribute to her and helped me work through the grief that I experienced from her passing.
You are bidding on a custom restored 1955 Volkswagen Beetle type 1 oval window.
This is an early production European spec with semaphores, heart tail lights, the correct front seats and seat tracks, original steering wheel, solid body, new floor pans, completely lined with Dynamat inside for a quieter ride (not sure if that's possible with VW's though...LOL)
It has a later 1600cc dual port motor, rebuilt late style swing axle transaxle with freeway flyer gears (3.88)
Good Brakes, brand new tires, runs and drives great.
This truly is a one of a kind car done in a Breast Cancer theme.
This a true head-turner. You would not believe the number of comments I receive when I drive it around. I have taken her (Rosie) in parades and women stand up and cheer and cry when they see her rolling down the street. I keep a bag full of swag in the back seat and every time someone shares their story with me I give them something from the bag I drive around with.
This car would make a lovely addition to anyone looking for a collector car that is unique and brings awareness to such a worthycause. I used this car as my daily driver for a couple of months when I was between cars and she runs great. She was restored and California and brought up here to Sun Valley Idaho a couple of years ago when we relocated. You will have to adjust the idle for your altitudebut otherwise than that she runs great.
I have the original windshield wiper motor and all extra parts will come in a box inside of her. The only thing that is a cosmetic flaw is right inside the drivers side door (see the last picture) the pink liner is riped from my purse strap being caught in the door and me yanking it out (yes, it was a stupid thing to do but it's not even noticeable with the door shut.) The last picture shows the tear on the liner.
She's a clean car and has been a special project car for me.
