The Volkswagen Type 181 is a two wheel drive, four-door, convertible manufactured and marketed by Volkswagen from 1968 to 1983. Originally developed for the West German Army, the Type 181 also entered the civilian market as the Kurierwagen (“courier car”) in West Germany. It was only offered here in the USA in 1973-74 making them tough to find in any condition.
Picture yourself taking this bad boy off road during the day and a bit of urban warrior by night. This Thing will make you the talk of the town and the most popular guy at the gas station. This car is new through and through, but the owner is having some health issues and isn't able to enjoy it as much as his use to.
