Description for Volkswagen Bus/Vanagon 1973

1973 VW Volkswagen Westfalia Camper Bus. One of a kind! Original paint, No rust, No reserve!
You will not find many nicer original Westfalia buses! Lots of time and energy spent to make this bus as you see it. Still showing its shiny original orange paint. People are amazed that this is original paint. This bus has never been painted or even touched up (it was so nice, couldn’t justify painting the bus). The upholstery needed some love so I had all the seats professionally redone keeping an original look. All cabinets, wood panels, etc are still in great original condition for being 47 years old. eats, headliner, etc. Brand new pop top canvas, fiberglass top was removed and painted and the bumpers were also painted to match. Overall, this is a great bus and will make someone really happy! Gets lots of love everywhere it goes.
Exterior- Original paint still shines up nicely. Perfect combination of shiny and little patina. Of course there are a few imperfections here and there (as you can see in the pictures) as to be expected for a 47 year old bus but nothing major. There is hardly any rust on the bus. Just a little surface rust spots here and there. Body is pretty straight. There is one little spot of rust about the size of a quarter on the right side of the engine hatch. You can barely see it in the pictures (its that small). There was also a small hole under the rubber foot step at the door jam. I had it professionally fixed with metal and painted to match. The small rubber step covers it up but wanted to make sure it was structurally sound. When the canvas was replaced two weeks ago, I removed the top and had it re-fiberglassed and painted. It turned out great and made the bus look much better. I also had the bumpers sanded, primed, and painted to match the top. Also had a brand new front windshield with new rubber installed a couple days ago. Underneath is dry as can be with no rust. Front floors are near perfect. You will be amazed how little rust there is on this bus.
Interior- Brand new canvas pop top just installed. Complete restored custom interior. The seats and foam were a little worn down so I had a local shop redo all the seats. They turned out beautiful. I wanted to keep an original look with a combination of vinyl and tweed. I personally think they turned out amazing! High end, quality craftsmanship. New set of custom curtains. All the original Westfalia interior cabinets are in great condition for being original.
Mechanical- The engine just went through a full tune up. Lots of new parts. Engine runs really strong! Starts right up and runs like it should. Transmission shifts smoothly. Tires are in good condition.
Extras- Comes original Coleman Camping equipment, custom spare tire cover, matching ice chest, custom mathcing camp table, etc.
