About this vehicleThis 1970 Volkswagen Beetle 1100 is an original. The owner has had it for 1 year. The vehicle needs work.Seller's Notes1970 Volkswagen Beetle. Bought it a couple months ago as a project and have since decided to go another direction. I have not done anything to the car. It was located about 400 miles from my house, and I did drive it the whole way. about 200 miles into the trip, it started smoking alot so I assume the piston rings are shot. the engine trans seal is probably leaking as well. i was planning on rebuilding the engine anyway, so not an issue for me. this is definitely a project car, but in my opinion a very solid base to start with. tires are very good,Blacklion Cirello 195/60 15. interior decent.will need to be trailered or towed at buyers responsibilty.Exteriorbody is very solid for being 50 years old. some dings and a few small rust thru spots throughout. running boards will need some attention. rear apron needs cut out and re aligned. doors open and close well. pan has one spot needs patched. trunk lid needs realigned. no trim or bumpers.
