I'm moving to Chicago and won't be taking my car. It has gone all over the country and is 100% reliable. I would hold on to her, ut she would just sit and rust and that is dumb. So it's time to say goodbye.
Let me tell you a bit about this old gal, 988 Volvo 244 with a manual 5 speed. Solid Clutch and no grinding of the gears. Interior is pretty good, arpet is clean and the upholstery is solid. There are a few spots that keep it from the mint condition category, shtray, enter console, few other plastic bits and pieces that did not age as well. All very minor issues.
The exterior is good aside from a few rust spots on the hood, nd a little bit on the doors. Nothing that stopped it from being inspected.
Tires are good, nd comes with a full sized spare. None of that doughnut BS!

The radio works, ut the cassette player eats tapes...
I recently had the Computer replaced
Also it has a brand new Exhaust system, ll of it, he whole thing from the engine back!
Waterpump was replaced.
Heater was replaced
New Sparkplugs
New wires and rotor
...etc I have the paperwork of other work that was done.
Meticulous oil changes with only Mobil 1 synthetic which was stressed by the previous owner. He had the records to prove it. I continued the tradition. It is still running strong
Beautifully clean engine, igh mileage but she not show it.
