Description for Volvo PV 544 1962
No Reserve - Volvo PV 544Selling my 1962 Volvo PV 544. This vehicle is very original and unrestored and in very good running condition. This car was previously museum owned. The car was donated by an elderly gentleman to the Owls Head Transportation Museum in Maine. Themuseum used it as their runabout - doing errands in town, tc.
It has been well cared forsince new and has had a recent professional brake and suspension overhaul (new springs all around). It also has had a recent complete tune up including a new carburetor.
The odometer reads 68,000 miles and are believed to be original, owever cannot verify actual milage. Thespeedometershows kilometers per hour (not miles per hour) and the odometer reads 8,500kilometers. So I believe this is 108,000 kilometers, hich is theequivalent to 68,000 miles.
The switches and gauges are in Swedish. Period Volvo pushbutton radio is in the trunk. Has original instruction book.
The car drives well, andles well and stops well - all gears and clutch are good. Good tires.
All gauges and electrics work.
The interior is original in very good condition apart from stains on the original headliner. Some paint has flaked off around the gauges behind the glass. The exterior has all original badges and trim. There is a ding in the frontbumper and some surface rust in places, specially along bottom of the trunk opening (see photo).
Underside is original and shows no signs of repair work or patches.
Very original car that has been well cared for throughout the years! Has clean Massachusetts title.
On-site inspections are welcome.
I'm offering this with no reserve -Contact for more information or to discussfurther. Thank you.
