The way you see it here and now is the real world condition of the car from its private owner. The car has not been redone. It is the original Volvo finish. The color is Volvo #412, blue-green, perhaps THE most traditional Volvo color of all. Volvo always had blue-green, since even BEFORE there was a Volvo car company! In 1926, "The Mermaid" was hand built, the second prototype, a blue-green OV4 (preceded only by "Jakob," an OV4 with the absence of color-- black). There were eight more pre-production cars, which in Volvo parlance were all "stronger than dirty," built to be "driven like you hate it," able to collide with a full grown 1800 pound moose in rural Sweden and STILL drive you home in safety.
