Description for Volvo 122 Amazon 1966
Due to unforeseen life changes, I have to put my baby up for sale. Over the two years I've owned it, I fixed and upgraded it to make it into a stylish reliable cruiser that is more than able to keep up with modern freeway traffic. I'm not very good at writing descriptions so I'm just going to list everything that's been done to it:- Period WA plates (no need to renew tabs!)
- Period Smiths tachometer installed (a desirable upgrade, usually only available on the rare 123GT)
- B20 engine from a Volvo 144 (with the more desirable dual carbs)
- 123 Ignition Tune distributor (a $600 upgrade in itself - never need to worry about adjusting points)
- Cooling system completely rebuilt around a three core aluminum radiator (never overheats)
- Front seats from a 144 (with headrests and retractable 3-point seatbelts)
- New floor pans (no rust!)
- All four tires replaced less than 200 miles ago
- New fuel tank
- New starter motor
- New Optima yellow top battery
- IPD sway bar and poly bushings installed in the front - I have the bushings and sway bar for the rear, just never had the money to have them installed.
- IPD cast aluminum valve cover
- Tokico shocks
- New clutch master and slave cylinders.
- New universal joints and driveline bushings
- Upgraded 94 amp alternator
- Poly steering coupler and brand new gearbox mount
- Custom 2" exhaust including 4-to-1 exhaust header.
- Sound deadening and carpet installed on interior
- New heater control valve
- RetroSound stereo including subwoofer
- New rear light lenses (no cracks)
- Backup camera installed (pretty stealthy)
