1971 Volvo 1800e - Rarest Color 104 Turquoise

Bought new in Seattle WA in 1971, this 161k mile original owner car has quite the original paint job, the rarest color of any Volvo 1800e. It was resprayed back in 1987, it shows it age with some fading in areas but overall the presentation in good. It's a fun car to drive that demands attention going down the road.

This original 1800e is in incredible shape for it's age. It's been meticulously cared for with a nice amount of regular maintenance records. The car was resprayed original 104 Turquoise in 1987. The body looks great but upon closer inspection you will find rock chips, small dings and some paint wear and tear. Rocker panels have been filled in on a few areas, nothing is needed now, depending on climate - it's a great daily driver. There is some rust behind the left rubber piece, in front of the left rear tire. If the new owner is going to be do a full restoration, rockers would be on the list. There are a few other areas that have been touched up, the color match is very good, but noticeable if close. All doors close tight, windows work great and all glass is original Volvo. No Leaks!

All the brightwork is there, nothing missing. Will need a nice buffing if you're going to enter it into any shows, looks great from a distance but many of the chrome trims pieces have small dings and dents. Windows are tight and doesn't leak any water.

All hinges on the trunk lid and hood are tight and work well. Doors lock and levers work to lock from the inside. Door panels are pretty good, have small wear marks from the elbow.

The original interior is very clean and presents well. The bottom dash doesn't have any cracks, the top is the original (not covered) and does have 3 cracks in it. The back seat is near perfect along with the passenger seat, the front seat will need some seam work. Everything works in the interior except for the clock. The speedometer works great, the RPM guage does bounce a bit, the other guages work perfect.

This 161k mile car runs and drives great, overdrive shifts smooth. Engine is original and stock, the starter may need replacing soon, it clicks every now and then. The trunk is VERY clean and includes original stock spare tire and tool kit along with the original jack.

The floors are 100% solid on this 1800 - all 4 brake calipers are new, the back right tire may be sticking a bit. The left small jack crossmember rail needs replaced, can send a spare with the purchase. The headliner is good, some wear on it but no sagging or any holes. Very fun and solid 1800, will be a great driver or restoration candidate. Please call with any questions, or if you have an offer let me know.
