Summer of 2015 I bought this Volvo Amazon Coupe from Colorado and prepared the car for a 2200 mile road trip taking secondary highways to Atlanta. This trip will be something I will not forget for many years to come. Mechanically this car is strong and never gave an issue on my trip. Sadly the car has floor panel rust that soon took it off the road. I have cut out the rusty floors, wings and some small patches. The structure of this car is solid but these panels will need replacing. Luckily for whoever buys this project, I have already dropped the cash to buy all of the metal needed to restore this car! I have boxes of parts that can be added to the sale if desired.
This car is a great deal for any vintage enthusiast wanting to take on a restoration project! The trusty Dual SU Carb B18 (see 3 million mile p1800), paired with the four speed M40. These cars won loads of rally races back in the early 1960's and truly put Volvo on the map as a safe and reliable automobile.
