Description for Willys 1952
This is a working 1952 Willys-Overland-Jeep 4WD wagon.I drive it a couple of times a weekto the feed store, tc. and to do farm chores. It isa perfect vehicle for this. It is equipped with a Warn overdrive unit activated by a floor shifter. This allows the wagon to cruise at 50-55 MPH as opposed to the usual 40-45. It also has front lock-out hubs. The driveline shifts and operates well. The Jeep has a stock 4 cylinder 134 cu in F-Head engine that starts and runs very well. The wagon has a custom tow hitch and I have used it to tow a trailer with a 1000# load .
Paint is good, lthough there are a few scratches andchips and it is oxidized in spots. There is a rust blister on the right front quarter and a rust spot on the drivers side door sill. The floor steel has been patched in the past. The interior floor is in good shape. The wood runners are cypress. The interior is in very good shape. The seats are especially nice. A modern radio has been installed. It can be powered by an auxillary 12 volt battery or a 6-12 DC converter. Aux. battery box and radio wiring are installed. The box heater and fan work very well.
I purchased the Jeep 6 years ago [on EBay] from an ex-park ranger who used the wagon in Voyageurs National Park in northern Wisconsin. It has 61665 miles on the odometer, ut I have no idea of the actual miles. Since I purchased the Jeep, have installed a new [electric] fuel pump, arburetor, tarter, eavy duty 6V battery and starter wiring, rakes and bearings, -joints, ilitary non-directional tires, tc. I am reluctantly selling the wagon because I have too many cars.
A 500$ deposit is required 24 hours after the close of the auction. Payment of the remainder is due within 7 days. Pick-up or shipping of the Jeep is the responsibility of the buyer.
