Description for Willys 1948
THIS IS A PROJECT. IT DOES RUN REALLY WELL BEFORE DISMANTLEINGNO RESERVE
1948 willys jeep cj2a jeep. Bought this jeep to build it into a fun toy.
The rear axle has been remounted 3" back and front still needs to also.
I got tons of brand new parts. 3 link suspension stuff coils powdercoated parts.
Brand new parts like leaf springs and shackles and rear axle parts and seals.
Lost interest due to too many other projects.
Seats and rollbar are gone. They were total junk.
The window frame is pretty much no good but could be worked a bit into a good one.
Body and all sheetmetal has been sandblasted clean.
Has a buick v6 that runs really good with a new edelbrock carb on it. I got new head flanges and mandrel bends to make a custom set of headers. I have the old headers too.
Has a warn overdrive and selctro hubs
2 tops bikini and rag full with doors.
11" brakes. New pads all around.
1 new axle. and new seals and bearings.
Brand new mickey Thompson wheels 15x12's and damn near brand new 38" super swampers that balanced out so well the best was zero ounces no I'm not kidding and the worst was 11 ounces.
$600 in wheels and $2200 tires =$2800 tire wheel combo alone. so my asking price is a huge bargain. I paid over $3k for the jeep to start with.
got new purple hornies to go on it. brand new fuel cell and on and on
The bad is that the front 2 feet of frame are tweaked just like almost all of them are.
Tons of brand new stuff like hood latches and seals and small parts
I got a lot of money tied up in it and just want to get some of it back.
First two pics are how I bought it last fall before I stripped it for sandblasting. Last picture is a jeep like theone that I modeled it after. I already cut the rear tub wheel wells to look just like it.
Would need a trailer to haul it but when its done it should be badass
all it needs is to be reassembled but will take some fabrication.
It has 4 new leaf springs but I got the whole 3 link parts to make it 3 link but you can go either way. stock looking or 3 link
