Description for Willys Station Wagon 1948
As you can tell by the picture of the engine compartment, I drive it very often. I live on a dirt road, which is why its a bit dirty. I will get it professionally detailed before delivery. It is a 1948 Willys Wagon that still has the original frame, suspension and brakes. At some point someone installed a Ford V8 along with a manual transmission. Whoever did the work did a really great job. If you didn't know better you would think it came with this engine from the factory. It also has a Vintage Air AC system which works great and was recently serviced by a Vintage Air dealer in Central Texas.
There is a little bit of rust under the paint on the bottom of the doors. If you look closely in the pictures you can see it. The only other place that has rust is the bottom of the tailgate, on the inside. Its not bad, and is a very common problem with these trucks. The floor boards and all other areas have no rust and are completely solid.
The badges on each side of the hood are wrong. They indicate that the vehicle is "4 Wheel Drive". It is not a 4 wheel drive model.
The roof has been repainted since the pictures were taken. It had a small spot where the clear coat was pealing. The new paint matches perfectly, and looks really great.
I am selling this vehicle to help fund the purchase of an old Chevy Suburban.
