Power Steering SELLER REMARKS This 1967 Chevy Nova would look great no matter what you did with it. but even the original version can't compete with the amazing street machine it has become. 355 cubic inches. five gears in the transmission. and stunning electric blue paint all work together to create one of the cleanest. meanest pro-touring Novas we've ever seen. The minimalist shape of the Nova can be traced to its origins as an economy car. but when everything is done to show standards. it stands out as something special. The sheetmetal is so tight it appears stretched over the Nova's chassis. and the single character line that stretches from nose to tail seems to visually make the car seem longer and lower than it really is. The paint is simply spectacular. with a miles-deep finish that only hours of tedious hand sanding can achieve. Good panel alignment also contributes to this car's almost intangible good looks. along with a brilliant shine that's a result of a good color sand and buff. The slick pinstripe and graphics on the quarter panels only serve to highlight the car's most interesting features and it's all buried under the clear for a totally seamless look. All the original trim remains intact. but on a Nova there isn't much. just nicely finished chrome bumpers front and rear. a simple grille up front. and just a lone CHEVY II badge on the trunk. LED taillights look stock until they light up. but that's the lone piece of non-original trim on the exterior. In some ways. the interior was restored to stock condition. There are new leather seat covers on the re-shaped front and rear bench seats. the carpets and door panels are new. and the shifter sticks out of the transmission tunnel for an industrial-strength look. Upgrades like the tilt steering column with billet wheel. Auto Meter Pro-Comp gauges. and billet knobs and handles give it a modern flair that's the essence of the Pro-Touring movement. An SS steering wheel is the right choice in a vintage muscle car like this. and cleverly engineered A/C and AM/FM/CD/iPod stereo systems integrate neatly into the original dashboard without significant modifications. For better weight distribution and to free up some under-hood space. the battery was relocated to the trunk. where it is surrounded by custom-made mats that give it a very finished look. Big power in a little package was the Nova SS calling card from day one. and with 355 cubic inches. this one carries some serious blasting powder under the hood. With an aluminum intake. a 670 CFM Holley 4-barrel carburetor and a bunch of billet accessories. this isn't just some lazy truck engine. but a quick-revving. high-winding street assassin that perfectly complements the Nova's compact size and agile handling. The spotless chassis has been heavily massaged as well. including coil-over shocks. disc brakes. air shocks out back. and a rack-and-pinion steering system. A fresh dual exhaust system with Flowmaster mufflers sounds absolutely amazing. both at idle and full song. terminating in big chrome tips under the rear bumper. The 6-speed features a pretty deep overdrive gear. so it doesn't mind the 3. 50 gears in the Ford 9-inch rear. which also has disc brakes on both ends. The suspension has been lowered. so it hunkers down just right over those beautiful polished aluminum wheels which wear staggered 235/40/18 front and 275/40/20 rear Continental radials. Fully documented with receipts and manuals. early Novas don't get much nicer than this pro-built hardtop.
