So you didn't get the one thing you wanted for Christmas . a cool cruiser from the '50s. Well don't fret too long because here we have just you have been wishing for. This 1958 Chevy is sweet. A nice unmolested example that you can get in and drive anywhere. and look good doing it. So what does this cruiser have going for it besides the sweet looks of a classic Chevy. well the original 283 SBC purrs like a kitten and the new dual exhaust. front to back with glass pack mufflers. gives this kitten a throaty growl when the right foot is where it should be. No need to mess with a clunky manual trans and all that linkage . this is cruiser. Throw the lever in drive. put your arm around the best looking girl from the sock hop and let the 2-speed Powerglide trans move you down the road to inspiration point. The factory Power-Steering. yep that's what I said. "factory Power-Steering" will only add to the ease of the 1 arm driving experience. So by now you are looking at the pics and wondering what all as been done to your next ride. Well it was repainted a couple years ago and the interior was freshened up at that time with a complete stock appearing kit . door panels. carpet. seat covers and headliner. This last summer all four brake drums were replaced along with new shoes and hardware. While she was up in the air a new set of rubber was added to all 4 corners in the form of Coker Wide Whitewall tires plus a new battery for trouble free starting. The new owner will also receive some extra parts that gave been gathered for this cool ride such as. a complete set of hubcaps. a new am/fm stereo designed to replace the stock unit. a front and a rear bumper center (both good driver quality pieces) and a NOS Hamill-Markus Power Brake booster kit.
