1955 Chevrolet for sale. Original California car (note 1-piece bumper)in original Gypsy Red and India Ivory. I have owned this car for 35 years. It was repainted in 1992 in the in the factory lacquer colors. The original 265 V8 was not re-buildable, so a rebuilt 283 was installed and dressed like the original 265. The 3-speed manual transmission was rebuilt and installed with a new clutch. The front seat cover was replaced as was the carpet, otherwise the interior is original. New Firestone white-walls are on the original wheels. The bumpers were re-plated, and all other chrome is original. Even the headlights are factory 12V bulb type and the tube type radio still works. Odometer shows 54,140 miles. I have assumed it isactualbut I can't confirm.
