Let's start with detailed information and go from there: In 1956 … Chevrolet decide to limit the production run for 4 Door Bel Air so there is not many left unlike 55' & 57' which had full production run. Research believe that there is less than three thousand of the 4 Door Bel Air left on road these days & much less registered/insured currently. This make these 56' 4 Door Bel Air more rare and stand out in cruise. shows and night out! This 1956 Bel Air was built in Norwood. OH plant in spring of 1955 and sold in Fall of 1956 to first owner in Indiana. We are trying to gather more specific information but as of currently it appears that the Bel Air never left the first owner until the second owner who bought it and shipped it to East Coast in Winchester. VA. From what I learned … both owners kept this car in garage all its life & only drove it on weekends. Body: ALL original steel & no accidents. bondo. or any big dent/dings. There is few rock chips from being driven which is normal. The paint on car is all original to factory other than few spots where it appear that one of previous owner tried to touch up here and there to keep the paint originally. There is FEW spot of paint chip or peeling from years of driving but not one of them are big than quarter and NONE of car have weak spot. bubbles or any thru hole! The body/paint is what I call 5 footer (keep in mind - this is all original car so 5 footer is awesome!!!). Approx 95% ALL original & matching numbers if not more. Drivetrain: 265 V8 4 Barrel & Powerglide Transmission. ALL original & matching numbers! 80. 00 currently miles on the car ( confirmed on title. previous owners and its history to be all original and unmolested! ).
