Up for auction is a very nice 1959 Chevy Apache Hot Rod Pickup. This is an all original steel step side long bed. This is a rare truck, Chevrolet did not make very many of these trucks. I have only seen one other long bed truck since I have owned this one. It was a frame off restoration. The frame was taken down to bare metal and painted with a rust preventive coating. It has a 1983 Valarie sub-framed. The engine, transmission and rear end are from 1985 Caprice. It has power steering and power disc brakes up front and drums in rear. Motor is a strong running rebuilt Chevy 302 V8 bored 30 over with a RV cam. The transmission is a rebuilt 700R4 auto transmission and is setup to automatically switch into cruise. Truck has a nice low stance and drives like a car. The truck is solid and has a rust free body. A solid Michigan red oak wood bed has been installed. It hasseparate speedometer,oil pressure, voltage meter, and temperature gauges installed.
