1970 L46 .. all original

Description

I purchased this Monza red T-Top from its original owner and neighbor of mine, 2 years ago. This is an all original car, original paint and interior, motor never out, original clutch and all. The car is fully documented in two log books from purchase new at 28 miles to 107,822 miles, when I bought it. This car has always lived within 4 miles of where it is now. Both front fenders were scraped and repaired in the 70's, no parts replaced as nose and hood are original. Other than sides and tops of front fenders, all other paint is original. Interior is all orig. with exception of the hand brake console, and safety belts. The console was recently broken while the car was in the shop getting new brakes. I have the original safety belts. The dash has a few minor cracks, minor seam separation in drivers seat, carpet original with minor fading and light wear, all glass is clear, windshield has 1 minor, stable crack at top right. The car appears to have been driven intown only as the windshield is clear without pitting. The lighter and ashtray show no use.
Since I purchased the car I replaced the 32 y o tires, replaced brakes with all new calipers and 2 new rotors, rebuilt carb, replaced plugs, wires, and tuned, new water pump. The car runs like a top and shifts smooth. Amazingly the car has its complete original exhaust with the exception of the drivers side muffler. All original chrome shrouding is intact and in place. Original T-Top storage bags. The original 51 year owner is a PHD engineer, octogenarian.
