Description

The car is as follows: Current engine is a rebuilt 1996 BBC, 7.4L, bored .030, fitted with chevy aluminum flat top pistons, 502 high performance cam and roller lifters, stock rods, 4 bolt main block. The transmission is a Tremec TKX 5 speed, 2.64:1 first gear, .069 5th gear. Differential is a factory 12 bolt posi, rebuilt with Eaton carrier & 3.55 gears. Milage: Newly rebuilt engine has approximately 450 miles on it. Tremec TKX has approximately 900 miles on it. The restored chassis, along with the differential, has approximately 2600 miles. The HD driveshaft has 1350 U-joints, and aluminum pinion flange. History: I purchased it, on eBay, approximately 10 years ago, having been shipped by a gentleman from WV. It was basically a rolling shell with no drivetrain. The Body: The body is actually in pretty good shape. Apparently, the rear quarters were done, the factory undercoat is present, and very little rust if at all is present. The hood that came with the car was sold soon after I purchased the car, and a used Malibu hood was installed. The interior: The interior was gutted, the floors were cleaned and primed, and sound deadening placed under the new carpet. The seats are from a 2006 Mustang, both power, Dash is an original replacement, along with the pad. The headliner was removed and replaced with new material. Notes of interest: The original swept style speedometer failed at 44 miles during the first test drive. I replaced it with a GPS unit, which showed an additional 2450 miles before it too failed. Currently, an inexpensive GPS unit showing speed only is being used, hence the total approximate milage of 2600. The car is set-up for installation of a F.I. unit but is currently running an Edelbrock 600 CFM 4V. In summary: The car is a lot of fun to drive, handling extremely well, stopping and braking very well. I do not know the full potential of the car now, as I have kept engine speeds to <4000 RPM during break-in. I had the short block assembled by a well-known engine builder in PA, so the max RPM limit is probably> 5500. Good luck.

Note: Photos show an Edelbrock intake, but this has been upgraded to an air gap. Also, pictures show the P.O.S Richmond 5 speed, which was replaced by the Tremec, and a new bell housing, centered to .002 runout with offset dowel pins.
