Description
1970 Chevrolet C10 CST 115” wheelbase SWB. Found this truck locally and had big plans but situation changed and must sell. That said someone is going to really enjoy it as is or easily restore it. It has tons of potential. You could go almost any direction on this truck and it’d be awesome. Truck is a highly optioned true survivor with 107777originalmiles. FACTORY optioned A/C power steering / power brakes tinted glass custom interior rear step bumper and much more. Truck is wearing its original Dark Oilve / Light Olive paint. Either lived in a garage or under a car port its whole life. Doors open and close like new. Includes factory owner’s manual and original Protect o Plate Chevrolet warranty from new. Clear Texas Blue title in hand. Engine: Factory 350 with stamping code V0203TAX that breaks down as follows: Flint plant February 03 255 horsepower 4 bbl carb. Fires right up and runs great w/ no noises no smoke. Completely original except original carb (I do not have it) was replaced with an Edelbrock carb. Does have a couple of oil leaks but looks to be mainly the valve cover gaskets. Spark plug wires spark plugs distributor cap rotor coil points oil / filter and fuel filter have all been replaced. Also new turbo factory style dual mufflers installed to replace originals. Transmission: Has optional TH400 transmission and was told by previous owner it was rebuilt but I have no paperwork on it. Shifts smooth with no issues but needs kickdown bracket for carb. A/C: Factory A/C in truck and everything is correct and original. Compressor clutch engages and turns A/C blows on all speeds and blows dry air but not cold. No broken knobs or cables as on most. Does have one new Dayco A/C hose and a new heater valve but do not know how long ago they were installed. Does not seem to have had the R12 to 134 Freon conversion done. Will not take much to be cruising with cool air. Interior: Everything works including: Lights wipers turn signals horns dome light rear cargo light etc. Seat was recovered with a Classic Industries OER PUI Interiors replacement seat cover as original. New headlight switch was installed. Door panels dash carpet etc all in very good original condition. Original steering wheel does have the typical cracks in the plastic and horn button is faded. Exterior: Clear coat is flaking on paint and there are some scratches etc. but for 45 years old it’s in outstanding shape. Best part to me is the lack of rot. Only rust I can find anywhere is on the outer rocker panels and the passenger side door jamb section of rocker as in pics. The radiator support fenders front inner fenders battery tray floors door bottoms inside and outside cab corners bed sides and all body and floor braces ARE ALL COMPLETELY RUST FREE. There is surface rust on the bottoms of the doors in the seam but zero rot. The truck has a thick black undercoating that is flaking off mostly on the passenger side (SEE PICS). You can clearly see the factory maroon primer under the undercoating. THIS IS NOT RUST or RUSTED METAL.All glass is intact and good nothing broken or fogged. Has a dent in driver front fender and one on lower tailgate. Dent at bottom of pass front fender as maybe someone started to put a jack in the wrong place at some point. Has three screw holes on each door as it had the large towing style mirrors but were removed at some point. All original upper and lower trim in place. Grill and bright-work all look good and show very well but are not perfect. The bed is in great shape. Had to never have been used as a work truck as bed has no rust almost no dings and most all of the factory Dark Olive paint. All body lines match up very well and I don’t believe it’s ever been wrecked or taken apart for any reason. Tires are Michelin XCLT4s that have plenty of tread but are older and will eventually need to be replaced. NEEDS: A/C charge transmission kickdown cable adapter for the Edelbrock carb and valve cover gaskets. I am trying to list everything I can possibly think of because I do not want there to be any confusion or misunderstanding. I have dealt with people who “smooth over” the rough edges and leave details out to try and steal your money. That is not going to happen here. I’ve driven out of state to OK from TX to buy a vehicle before been blatantly lied to and had my time and money wasted. I am not going to waste anyone’s time or leave anything out. I simply think this may be one of the most original and honest 1970 C10s in existence. Check my feedback bid with confidence and own this amazing truck. I do ask for a $500 NON-REFUNDABLE deposit on the winning bid within 24 hrs after auction end paid through PAYPAL. The remaining balance will be cash or cashier’s check verified by my bank. Please call Austin D. with all questions @ 512-587-5306 before you bid. Good luck and thank you.
