Description

Up for sale is a 1956 ford f100 shortbed with the original 272 v8 motor and automatic transmission. The old man I bought the truck from said "its been years but the motor did run but sounded like it had a bit of a catch in it." As you can see from the pics the cab is in very good shape inside and out. A restoration was started over 20 yrs ago and has kept the bottom and outside of the cab in excellent shape, he surface rust on the roof and floor are from a leaky barn roof where the truck was stored for several yrs. There were partial cab corners put in and several very small rust holes that were spot welded(pictured) but everything is solid, ot even any rust buildup between panel overlaps on the bottom of the cab. Most of the rest of the truck was collected at swap meets as most of the original panels were stolen during the restoration(reason the restoration never got finished). Front fenders, nner fenders, nd front valance have some patches welded in but no filler and would be pretty easy fixes. The hood is very solid everywhere with only surface rust in areas. Rear fenders have small rust throughs where they met the running boards but other than that are good. The doors have some rust at the inner bottoms but nothing coming through yet and are solid, assenger door front edge was kinda folded over and caused a several inch long tear on the inside but nothing major. The bedsides aren't too bad, he front bed panel and tailgate aren't real rusty but are pretty banged up. The frame is overall in very good shape, couple inch square was cut out of top of framerail at the very back and the bottom piece of one of the crossmembers was removed as for some reason the only real rust on the frame was in this one area(pictured). Truck has a clear indiana title in my name and frame and tag #s match. I have all dash parts, better tailgate, xtra grille, sets of running boards( might be worth saving) and lots of new fomoco parts still in boxes and sealed plastic, oor handles, eals, iring harness, eadliner backing. I try to describe everything so there's no surprises when you pick the truck up, lease call, mail, r text 2606023901 for more pics or questions. I reserve the right to end the auction early at any time as the vehicle is also for sale locally. On Sep-07-15 at 14:39:06 PDT, eller added the following information:
