Description

Selling my 50's survivor model A hot rod...it was built in the late 50's in New York...original owner/builder sold it in around 2005..it has changed hands a couple times since......Motor is a rebuilt Merc Flatty...040 over,TRW Pistons..Mild race cam..Vintage Edelbrock intake with 3 older ford carbs..Vintage Edelbrock heads...has a 40 Ford front suspension grafted in with juice brakes...a 46 Ford rear end with juice brakes also, nd a 39 Zepher 3 speed tranny...frame has been boxed ..The Seat, s well as the steering column and steering wheel are out of a 1956 Ford car...the paint is old blue metallic lacquer....everything about this car screams the 50's...when you drive it and sit in it, ts like you step back in time!!!..it still runs on the original 6 volt system!...about the only newer upgrade was a new steel fuel tank mounted in the trunk...everything functions well, nd the car drives, starts and stops fine...it gets attention everywhere I take it..it really represents old school hot rodding!!!...again, his car was not built to look like a 50's Hot Rod..IT IS A 50's HOT Rod..:-)
PS...I did just put new exaust from the manifolds back to the rear tires where it dumps out...glass pac type of mufflers were used..sounds very cool!!....if you have any questions feel free to ask...car is sold "AS IS"On Oct-03-15 at 06:58:41 PDT, eller added the following information:

Another afterthought on the car...the paint and body work was done by a bunch of young rodders in their garage..it is not aprofessionaljob, nd it shows...to me it's just another "Cool Factor" of the car..it totally adds to the basic hot rod vibe that was soprevalentin the 50's when money was tight for these rodders...this is not a "show car"..it is a bare bone, ome built, 0's hot rod..if that what your into, ou will love this car!!
