Description
NOT your average Coupe and just in time for a 1967 Christmas 48 years later. You've waited long enough for your new Mustang, t's time to indulge and hit the street. This car was originally purchased bymy Grandfathers neighbor and through a series of synchronicitiesfound its way back tome in like-new condition. As a child Iused to slide on the hills ofTeddy's (original owners) front yard and didn't think I'd ever put this out for sale. But,it might be time. So, he frame off restoration was completed in 2002and therehasonly been2,500 miles driven since completion. Drives straight, mooth and quiet. Car is tight, uiet and fun to put around in. Draws attention and reminiscence everywhere it goes. Seems like half the population loved a Mustang back in the day and has a stories this reminds them of. This car is as close to new as you can get for 1967 in 2015 at the price I'm offering it here. The frame off restoration added the following factory Ford optional upgrades:Pony/fog lights,Directional lights inhood, runk rack, enter console, runk release.Like I said, he car attracts attention everywhere it goes andit's won at several car shows. There is a clean title through theStateof Massachusetts whichreflects the actual miles on the odometer (odometer was re-set atZero when restored and now shows about2,510 miles). Miles may increase with a couple more rides). Pretty cool having a super clean'67 with a super clean super low mile title.Stored indoors always, ever been driven in the rain. Fluids drained when in storage. Solid attention to authentic ford detail. Close to 20K in parts receipts alone into the build. Hundreds and Hundreds of man hours. Sold with full photo documentation of restoration process. [I noticed I didn't have any pictures of the dash/steering wheel/gauges; if you email me and I'll be sure to take some and send them / others you want - just ask]. Engine is a 200 C.I. Six cylinder. Engine miles unknown but is believed to have been a rebuild from a donor Mustang same vintage (period correct 200C.I.) It runs well with no smoke or funny noises. Transmission was professionally rebuilt during restoration and shifts crisp/smoothly.Just about every part you could name was replaced with brand new as they were available at time. For example, he complete interior is brand new from carpet, eat cushions, crews, andles, nobs, eat belts, headliner, rim, tc. The console however, s not brand new nor are the vent window frames (neither was available new in 1999). A definite eye catcher with the chrome spoke hubcaps, blue paint and vinyl top. The white vinyl top was a stylistic choice during restorationthat really helps makes this car stand out, people confuse it for aconvertible with the top up.There is a high end PioneerStereo/CDhidden from viewbehind the console slide that ismated to high end Pioneer 6x9''s in the rear deck.Beyond that everything else is Ford period correct. Factory radio remains installed and intact for the clean vintage look. My reserve price is set belowthe cost of the new partsprices 15 years ago. It would not be an exaggeration to say that nearly every single nut, olt, asher, ine, tc. is new.A car of this caliber cannot be built for 25K in todays world and my reserve is well below this price. Here is someone's chance to take home a next to new Classic Mustang; turn the key, it back and smile. This Summer itappraised and is insured at Concourse grade. It could be a trailer queen but loves to go out for drives sipping gas and waving back at admirers. I have this for sale locally and will entertain serious/reasonable/cash backedoffers so may end this auction early (especially if there isn't any solidbidding). If my reserve is met I will not end the auction early to be fair. All photo documentation, eceipts, nd books will sell with car.I willassist with shipping but buyer is completely responsible for all costs/arrangements. I will store in my garage while arrangements are made. This car is 48 years old so no warranty expressed or implied. Please ask questions before bidding and thank you for your interest and bids.
On Oct-19-15 at 19:42:36 PDT, eller added the following information:There have been a few inquiries about my reserve. To be fair, nd because we are really early in the auction, 'm not revealing that just yet but I will add some insight as to what ballpark we are in and clarify with bidders when I will begin to have that discussion (read on or skip to the chase at the bottom). I'll just lay it out plain with a bit of an explanation. This is not a ten or 13 thousand dollar bid winning Mustang. Nobody is taking home the Ebay deal of a lifetime by paying less than half price of the appraised value (sorry folks, t looks good in my garage too and yes I was born on a Wednesday -but not themost recentone).
Having said that, really would like it to sell.I willbehonest, ransparent and respectfulwithcurrent andpotentialbidders. My reserve price is less than the parts receipts I haveand are included in the sale. In 2014, t professionally appraised approx. 10K higher than it had nine/ten years before that. That means the value of THIS Mustang has been documented to be on the rise in between appraisals. Potential bidders should bear in mind that the receipts I have reflect the cost of parts in boxes on shelves as theycost 15 years ago. Prices have risen since that time which means in today's money my reserve would not even cover the costs of parts to be put on shelves insomeone's garage. I'm selling a turn key car, ot two pallets of new unassembled parts. The cost of purchasing parts wouldn't include the time/ effort / value to correctly identify, ocate, rder, rganize, ndready themfor installation on a prepared shell worthyof assembly (yeah the cost of the car itself). Then oneneeds to consider the cost of installing all the wiring, etting the car body prepped and painted, ires mounted/balanced, ront end aligned, tc. Adds upsteep and quickly as do the long hours.
THE CHASE:
MOST IMPORTANT FOR ALL TO KNOW: As the auction nears closer to its end and/or when the bids rise close to my reserve, WILL share the appraised value and my reserve with the high active bidders privately. Please do not bid if you do not intend to buy orhave the means to buythis restoredMustang.I encourageanyone to come inspectthis qualityantique themselves. I will take time off from workto accommodateseriousout of town interests if need be.
Thanks for looking, lease keep asking your questions and happy bidding.
