1965 Mustang running C code This mustang runs. drives and stops. but needs lots of work. The car has been sitting for 20 years and I just got it running a few days ago. I think it has a 1965 or 1966 289. The intake serial begins with C5. The transmission is a heavy-duty toploader 3 speed. I needed the money so I am selling the car. The car stripes are the same dimensions as the Shelby LeMans cars. There are too many new parts to list them all but I will list some of them in this description. The new parts include: Gas tank Sending unit Fuel line Fuel pump POR15 on undercarriage Temp gauge Head and tail lights and blinkers have new bulbs and all work (blinker switch is on the dash) The negative aspects of the car are as follows: Needs new interior. some gauges do not work. the bezel is not bolted down. driver door opens from inside. glass is all good except for a chip in the front windshield. I have a trunk lock for the car but it is not installed. heater blower will work when I finish installing the new switch. there is moisture coming out of the tailpipe when running. I do not know how significant that is. There seems to be a leak in the brake system somewhere. When in reverse gear there is some resistance. a brake may be dragging. Tires and wheels are poor. Paint is rough. body has bondo in it and is rough. I have a good Tennessee title in my name. I will not accept bids from bidders with less than 10 feedback.
